Introduction to: Judo Eliminator Structure.

The MALYMPEX COMPETITION uses the S Factor Judo Points Scoring System and simplify the terminology and rules for an exciting understandable “World Martial Arts Competition event”, that provide categories to suit many different Judo Bodies.

The rules are safe, simplified, easy to implement, which both Judoka, and Spectators will hopefully understand.

Different Judo Bodies can hold their own Regional Qualifiers, using their own Judo Refereeing Rules, to gain entry into the MALYMPEX competitions.

The top placed Judoka from the MALYMPEX events, using the S-FACTOR Refereeing rules, will then enter into the International MALYMPEX competition.

Countries throughout the World will then submit all their top Champions into the MALYMPEX Championships.

All Winners and Runner-ups will receive free media coverage, and where possible, sponsorship.

MALYMPEX Judo Rules

Four Point Rules

The World `S` Factor Judo rules are provided by the All England Judo Federation, in conjunction with the BNMAA and will be used for all MALYMPEX Tournaments.

The rules are a modified version of I.J.F. & A.E.J.F. contest rules, and contain all current A.E.J.F. contest techniques.

Major differences:

The score per throw/hold-down/penalty is additive, for all techniques, and 4 points will be required to gain maximum win (Ippon). Additional time in Newaza may be allowed, if the referee deems it necessary (hold-down times reduced to 20 seconds).

Junior Contest time will be 2 minutes, and Senior Contest time will be 3 minutes.

A Junior will be classed as under 19 years of age throughout the entire eliminations, including the Finals, therefore, please check the Final dates if you are 18 yrs of age.

If you are 19 years of age between eliminations and Final, you may enter as Senior.

 Throwing techniques        Hold-down Techniques Penalties

Koka          score 1 point.              5 seconds+    score 1 point        Shido          score 1 point

Yuko          score 2 points.           10 seconds+    score 2 points      Chui           score 2 points

Waza-ari    score 3 points.          15 seconds+    score 3 points      Keikoku      score 3 points

Ippon         score 4 points.          20 seconds      score 4 points      Hansoku     score 4 points

Strangles and Armlocks: These will only be permitted in Categories of 19 years and over, and a submission by either of these methods will automatically be a 4 point win, similar to an Ippon throw, 20 second hold, or a penalty of Hansoku.

All the above Throwing, Holding, and Penalties, are additive.

Examples: 3 x Koka, plus Waza-ari will be 4 points maximum, 2 x Koka, plus 1 x Yuko will be 4 points, 4 x Koka will be 4 points, 1 x Yuko, plus Waza-ari will be 4 points maximum. 1 Yuko throw, plus Chui awarded to you = 4 point win, or a Koka throw, 10 second hold, and a Keikoku awarded to you = 4 point win.
